I had to be about sixteen. I played soccer for my high school J.V. team and it occurred to me one afternoon that I didn’t know what Spider-Man was up to, which was unusual because back in the day I knew exactly who Spider-Man was fighting, the state of Peter Parker’s finances, and the strains being a superhero put on his marriage with Mary Jane. Playing on the high school soccer team takes up a lot of time that I used for reading comics. It’s even time consuming if you’re not very good and rarely get into the games.
Esse é só o começo, mas acho que o texto traduz parte do fascínio com os quadrinhos de super-herói - ou qualquer narrativa longa.
